Horace Mann custodian files grievance over pay dispute
Blair Klinefelter a Horace Mann custodian in the Iowa City district seeks 150 dollars in back pay after a three day May suspension for painting a sign without principal approval. He claims insubordination and lack of conformity and notes he used PTO for the work. The district and principal Moore will respond within 10 days. The Mann PTO backs him and calls for better parent district communication. The board approved a three year Cronin contract with a 3000 dollar raise and discussed morale and staff evaluation needs.
