Dismissal of Summit Hills Suit Told in Iowa Court
A civil suit by Summit Hills residents against Coralville and Johnson County was dismissed in Davenport federal court. The suit claimed about 31 people in 11 houses and two trailers near Coralville were starved of health services and other needs due to non annexation. Judge W C Stuart said residents are not property owners and warned no legal precedent requires a city to annex a given area.

Tama Man Found Dead With Wife Injured
Tama County sheriff and city police responded to Roy E. Ervin 77 at his home about 11 45 p m Sunday. He died from two .22 caliber gunshot wounds in the chest and abdomen while his wife 82 was injured with head wounds and taken to a Marshalltown hospital in satisfactory condition. Their son John 45 was upstairs during the incident. The investigation is described as personal safety related by Dr C W Maplethorpe Jr with services pending at Harrison funeral home.
