Czechs Clear Names of Stalin Era Prison Victims
The Czech parliament approved a rehabilitation law to clear those imprisoned during the Stalinist era. Justice Minister Ku cera said officials responsible for past illegalities will be removed from state service. The act covers verdicts from January 1, 1953 to July 31, 1965 and strengthens Dubcek regime powers to purge loyalists of Antonin Novotny.
