Man Sought In Dubuque Wife Slaying Nabbed After Surrender To Parents
Norbert Heying, 34, sought since June 6 for shooting his wife Irma, 30, in Dubuque, was captured in New Vienna after his father alerted authorities. He was wounded from a self-inflicted gunshot and in weak but not critical condition. Two bullets came from the same .32 caliber revolver used in the fatal chest wound. Two of the couple’s four children were at home during the shooting. others were with relatives or in care.

Darkness halts McCormick missing cliff search
In Albuquerque a search for John Medill McCormick halted at dusk after a possible body was reported on a Sandia cliff.
