A small neighborhood bar on 416 Third St. SE Cedar Rapids survived 95 years of urban renewal. The Alley Inn began as a sandwich shop then George’s Place and Al’s Alley Inn before Pat Monnahan and Kathy Keith owned it in 1985, serving locals including Geneva Tower residents with a familiar Cheers like vibe.
