Maxine Stuhr and Merrill E. Sivill united in marriage at Holy Cross Lutheran church in Walcott on a Saturday evening ceremony performed by Rev. Fred Ilten. The bride, a University of Iowa graduate, teaches sixth grade in Cedar Rapids, and Sivill works at Collins Radio Co.
Miss Mary Ann Buresh daughter of Mr and Mrs Louis Buresh wed William F Nitchel son of the Nitchels of Jesup at St Wenceslaus Catholic church. Rev Anthony Chihak officiated. The bride wore peau de soie with el bow sleeves a chapel train and carried Amazon lilies. Attendants included Mrs Earl Nitchel and Mrs Ronald Ornduff with Connie Speake as bridesmaid. Best man was Earl Nitchel. groomsmen Gene Nitchel and Mike Waltmeyer. ushers Kenneth Frost and Dean Buresh. The couple will reside in Jesup after August 15 following a reception at Ely American Legion hall.
Sandra Jean Phillips of Solon and Jerry R. Freiberg of Des Moines exchanged marriage vows Saturday at 2 30 PM in the First Baptist church in Iowa City. The ceremony was conducted by Rev Roy Wingate with a large wedding party and 175 guests at a Hotel Jefferson reception.
