Iowa fines Belle of Sioux City for underage gambling
The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission fined the Belle of Sioux City riverboat casino ten thousand dollars after a 19 year old from Minnesota gamed slots for about an hour in February. The state requires a minimum age of 21 to gamble.

Ethanol Plant Loan Approved for Iowa Cooperative
The Quad County Corn Processors Cooperative receives a 12.5 million dollar federal loan to build an 18 million gallon per year ethanol plant in Galva Iowa, with 16 new jobs expected and first processing set for January 2002.
