Pat Nixon dies at 81 after lung cancer battle

Pat Nixon, widow of former president Richard Nixon, died at age 81 in their Park Ridge New Jersey home. She had suffered strokes and lung infections since 1974 and earlier was diagnosed with lung cancer. the couple marked their wedding anniversary the day before. She will be buried in California beside the place they met. The death drew condolences from Clinton and friends across political lines.
