Earlville Boy Hurt After Bicycle Collision Near Farm

Cedar Rapids Accordionists Medal In Denver Contest
Three Cedar Rapids students and a sextet earned high placings at the sixth annual Rocky Mountain Accordion Society contest in Denver. Bob Michalek took second in junior, Deanna Dougherty third in senior, Deanna and Kathy Dougherty won senior duet first, and the Accordion Sextette directed by Arlene Boddicker placed third in advanced band. Augustine Trial Set for Monday in Iowa City
William C. Augustine, 30, of Elgin Illinois, faces assault with intent to murder in Johnson county district court. He allegedly forced Dr John Greenleaf an Iowa City urologist, to the roadside where the shooting occurred. Greenleaf survived two bullet wounds and has recovered. Augustine was arraigned June 10 and held in the psychopathic ward under a $10 000 bond.

Shell Rock Man Named IOOF Grand Warden in Iowa Election

The pastor of Kenwood Methodist church is assigned as full time chaplain at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids and will begin July 1. His new home will be 1036 Staub Court NE.
