Otters not hurting catfish levels in Wapsi River survey
A survey of 301 catchable channel catfish from an eight mile Wapsipinicon River stretch near Quasqueton and Troy Mills shows otter predation has not severely reduced catfish populations. Biologists found most fish in 13 to 22 inches, with reproduction evident and riverside angling still strong despite otter presence.
