Cedar Rapids school district borrows funds to operate this year
The Cedar Rapids community school district went into debt about 114 million dollars to keep operating, paying 12 39379 in interest as tax collections lagged expenditures. Treasurer Ed Lundquist cited delayed revenue from a disputed annexed area and transfers rules as factors in the deficit financing.
