Cook County grand juries ruled legal by Illinois Supreme Court
Illinois Supreme Court rules Cook County grand jury selection legal by a 4 to 3 vote. The decision reverses a prior ruling that threatened to invalidate indictments and delay prosecutions, including embezzlement cases against Samuel and Martin Insull and the TNT conspiracy. Prosecutors plan swift prosecutions now that juries are upheld.
