Audit says UI misallocated flood aid funding in 1993 97
An Office of Inspector General audit found the University of Iowa received 1.74 million from the Iowa Emergency Management Division for flood repairs but overpaid by 184 149 on a disputed business interruption claim and 12 960 in insurance errors. The university refunded 97 604 and FEMA adjusted the claim by 21 611 leaving 189 295 in net questioned costs.
