Mall outage tied to late Friday fire at Lindale stores
A Lindale Mall power outage from an underground feeder fire disrupted the west end for 16 stores and Younker's until 8:30 p.m. The fire caused no spoiled food at Bishop's, Happy Joe's and International Pastries, but losses were seen in business. Crews repaired a cable and considered overhead lines to restore power while phone service hiccups affected several tenants.
