Record High College Costs Seen in 1979 80
A nationwide College Board survey predicts next year's total costs for college will rise sharply. Public four-year and private four-year schools lead the increases, with tuition, room and board, and other expenses climbing 8.5 to 10.6 percent, and two-year institutions up to 14.7 percent for some students. The study notes aid will exceed 12.3 billion dollars in 1979 80 and urges eligible students to apply.
