Health groups urged to cut ties with HealthFair health bus
A consumer group named Public Citizen urged UI Health Alliance and eight other hospitals to sever ties with HealthFair the mobile screening program after concerns that asymptomatic tests for heart disease and stroke risk can generate false positives and lead to unnecessary care. The Iowa letters target health alliance members including Mercy Health Network Genesis Health System and UI Hospitals.
