Dylann Roof, 21, a white man, reportedly cried I have to do this and opened fire inside Emanuel AME Church in Charleston killing nine. After an overnight manhunt he surrendered in Shelby North Carolina about 250 miles away. He had attended a Bible study there for about an hour before the attack.
