Mall of America Baffles Burrowing Theory In Minnesota
Bob Greene questions the burrowing trend as the Aug. 11 opening of the Mall of America in Bloomington showcases 4.2 million square feet with Knott's Camp Snoopy, Lil Ditty's, Lego Imagination Center, Golf Mountain, Underwater World, and Oshman Supersports USA. The mega center holds 68,000 at once with 13,000 free parking spaces and four anchor stores Bloomingdale's Macy's Nordstrom Sears. The piece contrasts consumer fear of leaving home with a destination built to lure citizens outside.
