Iowa City Hosts Summer Shop Crawl Draws Crowds Downtown
About 200 people explored downtown Iowa City's Pedestrian Mall on a warm May Friday for the Summer Shop Crawl hosted by the Downtown District. Shoppers browsed art and jewelry stores while sipping cocktails and socializing, boosting foot traffic for Root makeup and cosmetics, which opened earlier this year. Julie Mueller, Root manager, called it good exposure and noted many new customers.
