Butter Production Outlook In 1938 Markets Voice Firmness
COLONEL L BROWN reports butter prices held firm last week with a slight mid week dip due to favorable weather in producing regions. Mid June brings no large production, making big storage unlikely unless weather turns exceptionally favorable. Chicago shows stronger activity than New York, while government and industry stocks are being drawn down toward a three month finish. Eggs have firmed after a government storage release, with warmer weather slowing production and top quality eggs remaining tight.
