Linn County delinquent tax sale draws crowd at Cedar Rapids
About 80 bidders lined up for Linn County's annual delinquent property tax sale with a total value around 2.22 million dollars. Nearly four hours of bidding featured a computer generated lottery for parcels over 1,000 dollars. 295 cards were sold, raising 29,500 for the county.

Canvass Keeps Linn County Sales Tax Outcome Unchanged
Linn County canvassers adjusted several vote totals after last Tuesday's local option sales tax election. Lisbon and unincorporated Linn County saw the largest changes, but the overall result remained: Lisbon/Mount Vernon and Cedar Rapids area towns voted yes or no as before, with Walford and Center Point defeating the two year tax.
