Continue Search In Jones County For Epileptic

Monticello police and fire departments, Jones County civil defense and sheriff’s department, a citizens band radio club, and volunteers pressed a boat search for Donald William Null a 35 year old epileptic man last seen about 5 a.m. June 10 on a Monticello street. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall 170 pounds blue eyes and light brown hair. Authorities asked residents to report sightings since he missed his daily cafe visit at 8 a.m. last Tuesday and his apartment door was found standing open with the television on.

Cattle rustling reported near Monticello farm

Robert J. Holub of route one Monticello told Linn sheriff’s office on Monday that two cattle were stolen from his farm since June 9. The animals, valued at $600, were expected to call within two weeks.

Ford Signs Jobs Bill For 840,000 Youths

President Ford signs a summer jobs bill designed to help about 840 000 youths from disadvantaged families. The program allocates 456 million dollars to 433 state and local governments to hire youths ages 14 to 21 for 9 to 12 weeks at a minimum 2 10 per hour. Additional funds cover youth recreation and transportation. Labor department estimates 2 7 million youngsters will seek summer jobs this year.
