Cremation rises in Iowa as NFDA projects swift growth
Cedar Memorial and Murdoch Funeral Homes note cremation's popularity with about 60 percent of Iowa families choosing it and 40 percent opt for casket burial. NFDA forecasts cremation in the U S rising from 61.9 percent in 2024 to 82.1 percent by 2045 and Iowa to reach 77 percent by 2035.
