Trials reset for inmates charged with murder in Iowa

Two inmates charged with murder and related counts for the Anamosa State Penitentiary assault will have separate trials in August and September. Michael Dutcher, 28, waived speedy trial. trial set August 3 in Jones County. Thomas Woodard, 39, requested delay. trial moved to September 21 in Linn County.

Two Iowa prison nurses fired for overdosing inmates on vaccine

The Iowa Department of Corrections fired two nurses at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison after they allegedly administered six times the Pfizer COVID-19 dose to 77 offenders in April.
