Judge revokes probation for man who drove at officers
Kyle Hunter formerly Kyle R Orth, 31, of Des Moines, had probation revoked after new offenses in Polk County. He drove a borrowed orange BMW toward two Cedar Rapids police in 2015, was shot, and later received a five year prison term to be served concurrently with Polk County sentences for domestic abuse, meth possession, and related charges.

Man Convicted in Dark Web Drug Case Tied to Dubuque Death
Jay Rickert of Grand Rapids was found guilty in Cedar Rapids federal court of distributing a controlled substance after admitting a February 2015 shipment from Canada to a Dubuque recipient. The woman died of fentanyl overdose mistaken for DMT. Rickert faces up to 20 years, a $1 million fine, and supervised release.
