Vatican absolves two Minnesota bishops over abuse links
Pope Francis accepted the resignations of Archbishop John Nienstedt and auxiliary Bishop Lee Piche after a Minnesota prosecutor charged the archdiocese with failing to protect children from a priest. Colorado Supreme Court upholds pot use firing ruling
The court ruled that a Dish Network employee Brandon Coats, a quadriplegic, was lawfully fired after testing positive for marijuana. It held federal law prohibiting marijuana makes the drug unlawful even though state law legalizes its use. The decision 6-0 with one abstention affirmed that state legalization does not require employers to accommodate marijuana use.
