Ethics code urged for Iowa state agencies by senator
State Senator Bob Rush asked Governor Robert Ray to issue an executive order creating a code of ethics for executive departments following a report on irregularities at the Iowa Commission for the Blind. Rush urged a federal audit of the commission and cited conflicts of interest as a core issue involving former director Kenneth Jernigan and ties to private blind groups.
