Dallas Woman Forced to Give Up 10 Purebred Dogs
Tears flowed as Doris Bebier, a Dallasdivorced mother of three, lost her kennel after land zoning forced disposal of her 10 purebreds. City officials refused a kennel permit and barred selling puppies, leaving Bebier with no place to house or feed the dogs and prompting animal welfare workers to relocate several animals. Bebier said she moved from Missouri six months ago with 40 dogs and had hoped agricultural zoning allowed the business.
