B 29's insect parallel? Foolproof flight tech revealed
Minneapolis report outlines two key electronic aids for the B 29 Superfortress. An electronic turbo regulator and an electronic automatic pilot, developed with Wright Field, enable higher, more precise flight and allow the bombardier to rely on automated course control during bombing runs.
