UI researchers test texting pedestrians in a virtual city lab
University of Iowa researchers run a Hank Virtual Environment Lab study on McLean Hall third floor to observe how pedestrians and cyclists cross traffic in a realistic safe simulation. The project seeks GPS based cell alerts to reduce injuries and involves 10 researchers.
