Lowden Zion United Church of Christ observes 100 years with a week of centennial services led by regional pastors and congregations. Darrell Hostetler of Kalona will be ordained to the ministry Sunday at 2 30 p m in East Union Mennonite church. He has served six years as music and Bible instructor at Iowa Mennonite School. He and his wife will become general missionaries of the Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities and will depart September for Nigeria to preach train pastors and develop a Bible school. Eugene Garber leads the service with Bishop A Lloyd Swartzendruber officiating. Other participants include Pastor Simon Gingerich and Bishop Herman Ropp.
Seventy Day Adventists attend services for the Iowa Conference centennial at Oak Park academy Nevada. The annual meeting opened Friday and runs through next Saturday. Featured speaker today is J. L. Dittberner of Minneapolis president of the Northern Union Conference.

Sergei S Koberg a May 31 graduate of Concordia seminary St Louis will be ordained Sunday at 11 a m in Trinity Lutheran Cedar Rapids.
