George Truex Given Five Year Sentence
George Truex age 22 of Iowa City was sentenced to five years in the state penitentiary at Fort Madison for rape. He pled guilty before Judge Harold D. Evans to the charge filed by County Attorney William L. Meardon. He admitted intimacy with a 14 year old Iowa City girl on April 28 while his wife was in University hospitals for childbirth.
