Evansdale man pleads guilty to distributing synthetic drugs
Evansdale resident E J Ramos 26 pleaded guilty in federal court to distribution of a controlled substance and faces up to 20 years in prison plus a 1 million dollar fine He admitted selling bath salts and incense items containing illegal substances at Five Star Snacks Waterloo in October 2012 Authorities say officers seized drugs cash firearms ammunition and money from Ramos and his home The case is part of a wider Eastern Iowa crackdown on synthetic drugs and a civil forfeiture of 14136 is pending
