Training, safety focus at DAEC nuclear plant
At the Duane Arnold Energy Center near Cedar Rapids a 500 acre complex houses a full scale control room simulator used to train reactor operators. Nine employees completed an intensive 22 month program in April with classroom work hands on practice and licensed operator oversight.
