Hammock Beverages Carried by String Across Tree
A humorous column recounts vacation hammock life with a novel string suspension for beverages. The writer explains a simple bottle-hanging method using a tree branch, notes the social quirk of locals calling him “the fat Iowa guy in the hammock,” and ends with a nod to water conservation and habit of hammock time as drought continues. The piece credits Mike Deupree and its publication cadence in The Gazette.
