Officer surrenders after three hour standoff in Apple Valley
Dennis R. Seiz an off duty policeman from Eagan who works for the University of Minnesota police ended a nearly three hour standoff in Apple Valley Minnesota after surrendering to Dakota County Captain Gary McCloud. Police chased Seiz at up to 100 mph along Interstate 35E before he stopped. Police had learned from callers and social workers that Seiz threatened death by own action amid a mental health crisis.
