Judge orders psychiatric treatment for bank robber
Brian Smith, 24, formerly of Ottumwa, was sentenced by U S District Judge David Hansen to a secure facility for psychiatric treatment for a mental disease after pleading guilty to the January 29 Merchants National Bank robbery in Cedar Rapids.
