Giant American Gothic sculpture rises in Anamosa
A 25 foot bronze sculpture inspired by Grant Wood’s American Gothic was installed behind Wapsi Physical Therapy in Anamosa. Crews lifted the 24,000 pound statue into place before noon using a crane as spectators, including children, gathered nearby. Artist Seward Johnson created the sculpture for display.

Cedar Rapids to install cameras in parks and downtown
Cedar Rapids authorities will install security cameras in Greene Square Redmond Park and downtown as part of proactive policing.
