Suspect in bank robbery arrested at Stanwood motel
Everette Alan Johnson, 41, of Minneapolis, suspected in a Granger Minnesota bank robbery, was arrested at Rustic Villa Motel in Stanwood Iowa after a pursuit involving Cedar and Jones county authorities and state troopers. He was held at Cedar County Jail in Tipton. A sawed-off shotgun was used and a car stolen from Minnesota was recovered.

Marion Man Hospitalized After Car Motorcycle Collision
Gregory Kerr a 27 year old Marion resident was riding a motorcycle west on Seventh Avenue near 25th Street at about 12 20 p m when he rear ended a car driven by Melissa Barta 45 25 24th Street, Marion Kerr sustained leg injuries Barta was not injured and no charges have been filed Kerr remains hospitalized in fair condition at St Luke's Hospital.
