Hanford Post Plans July 3 4 Holiday Celebration At Downs

The Hanford American Legion is staging a two day Fourth of July celebration at Hawkeye Downs starting Sunday afternoon July 3 with a 10 mile stock car race and a night show. July 4 features speedway big car races plus a double feature night program of acts between races and a large fireworks finale. The event aims to attract families with entertainment for youngsters and a single pyrotechnics display scheduled for July 3.

City Playgrounds Prepare to Open 12 Areas on June 10

The Playground and Recreation Commission plans to open 12 supervised playgrounds citywide on June 10.
