Des Moines man released after check charge dropped
C Clifford Boynton aged 53 was arrested at 12 30 a m Saturday, held for investigation, then released at 2 15 pm when no charges were filed. Joseph Knight, a Negro awaiting trial for shooting his wife to death, was found dead in his Omaha jail cell on Saturday. He had hanged himself with a blanket rope. It marked the second jail suicide by hanging in a week.
