Cedar Rapids approves CRST HQ project downtown
The City Council approved an incentives package for CRST International Inc to build a $37 million 11 story riverfront headquarters in downtown Cedar Rapids. Construction is expected to start in August with completion anticipated in January 2016. The project will create at least 80 full time jobs and involve a 15 to 20 year tax abatement of about 8.35 million in today’s dollars. Bankers Trust will lease the top two floors with CRST occupying two floors.
