Iowa hospital to cut about 200 jobs in 2010
Ul faces about 200 hospital job cuts through attrition retirements and layoffs in fiscal 2010. That adds to 154 positions already eliminated this year. The combined total equals roughly 5.4 percent of the 6,600 staff. Jean Robillard told the state Board of Regents layoffs hinge on retirement and attrition. He said layoffs will be announced later this month as leaders seek a 45 million dollar reduction to hit a 1 percent profit margin.
