Commissions at center of auto dealer suit

Seven former employees of Richmonds Automaxx in Cedar Rapids sue the dealership for unpaid commissions claiming 25 to 30 percent of gross profits. They allege termination for questioning pay and seek double back wages and damages for retaliation and defamation. Richmonds Automaxx will defend. attorney declined further comment.

Marsh & McLennan Companies says it completed a strategic review and will not sell or spin off any principal units. CEO Michael Cherkasky sought to quell rumors about divesting Putnam Investments or Mercer. The firm recently agreed to pay 850 million dollars to settle bid rigging and price fixing allegations.
