John Adams Married in New Jersey

In Somerville New Jersey Miss Barbara Jean Matheson and John Paul Adams married at First Reformed Church. The couple, daughters and son of local families, plan a honeymoon trip before settling in Milwaukee where Adams serves as YMCA youth secretary. The bride previously taught at Bridgewater Raritan High School and is Tren-ton State College alumna. the groom a Drury College graduate.

Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Weddings Celebrate Local Couples

Miss Donna Mae Andersen and Maynard M. Merck wed at St James Methodist Church Cedar Rapids at 7 30 PM a 200 guest reception followed. The couple will reside at 901 Oakland Road NE after a trip north. The groom works at Eagles. Valerie Edna Dick and Loren LeMar Neubauer married at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Iowa City assisted by Rev E Jasmann and Dr Hubert B Brom. The bride, a University of Iowa graduate, will teach at Marion high school. the groom, an SUI graduate, works at Collins Radio Co. They will live in Marion after a trip to Canada.

Women golfers crown medallist at Betty Hruska day

Betty Hruska led the field as medalist at the women's day event. Group winners were A Mrs D W Angell B Mrs John Jacobs C Mrs Bob Sands and D Mrs Paul Bassett. Mrs John Hand sank an approach shot. Hostesses were Mrs Richard Spacek and Mrs George Jenkins for 54 golfers.
