GOP tax cut plan unveiled in Congress
House Republicans proposed an 85 billion dollar tax cut over five years aimed at families, businesses, and investors. Democrats warned the package favors the wealthy while Archer framed it as a step toward smaller government and higher take-home pay, aligning with the Contract with America. The plan includes a 500 per child credit, college incentives, and broader capital gains and estate tax relief, with differences from the Clinton White House approach on eligible child age.
