I'll Take Sweden holds mixed humor for Bob Hope fans
A Edward Small production released by Veree Artists at the RKO-Iowa. Bob Hope stars as a successful businessman and harried father trying to shield his daughter from unsuitable suitors while Dina Merrill and Jeremy Slate play his romantic rivals. Tuesday Weld shines as the daughter, with Frankie Avalon as a brash young suitor. The film, Bob Hope’s fiftieth, leans to straight comedy but has uneven pacing and midsection dullness.
