Bob Hope stars in Sweden satire with mixed results
Bob Hope headlines a light comedy mixing rapid gags with human touch as he plays a protective father chasing a virtuous path for his daughter. Tuesday Weld shines as the daughter with Frankie Avalon as a brash suitor, set partly in Sweden with Dina Merrill and Jeremy Slate. The film, United Artists release, aims for audience appeal but lags in the middle while delivering some laughs and bikini clad visuals.
