Wage gap shows minimum pay fails to cover two bedroom rents nationwide
The National Low Income Housing Coalition reports no full time minimum wage worker can afford a two bedroom rental in the United States. On average renters earn 16.38 per hour while a two bedroom requires 21.21 in many areas. Hawaii and the DC area demand even higher wages.
