Cedar Rapids School District survey backs smaller bond plan
A May survey by The Center for Community Opinion tested reactions to two bond options. Voters favored a five year plan at 79 million with an $86 per year tax. a ten year option at 147 million would raise taxes by 147 annually. Results showed strong parent support but lower overall backing, prompting a board to pursue the smaller plan and revisit in 2005. The board meets Monday at 7:30 pm at the Educational Services Center to discuss the findings.
